Hello there, I'm Fabian, a multi-disciplinary graphic designer based in Rome and currently senior designer and Art Director at Studio Hangloose.

Since 2004 I have been active in various fields such as print, branding, editorial design and web design, both as a freelancer and for several design/advertising agencies. After joining Studio Hangloose in 2008, I have been increasingly focused on interaction design and user experience.

Working predominately as a freelancer and at small agencies has made me the kind of designer who likes to get his hands dirty at all stages of the design process, from early research and conceptualization right through to the final execution. As such, I am just as comfortable with a pen and paper and a couple of silly ideas as I am with preparing files for print and wrangling with front‑end development.

When I’m not designing I’m usually having pillow fights with my four-year-old (I tend to lose), playing goo-goo-ga-ga with my eight-month-year-old, cooking dinner for friends (with a glass of something in one hand) or simply lounging on the couch with my lovely wife (that is until our four-year-old challenges us to another pillow fight).

One day I hope be able to play the clarinet solo glissando from George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue like a pro… though I admit this may never happen.
